Ritmi d’Acqua (Water Rythms) – Performance & CD
Music improvisation inspired to ancient animistic rites
This project arises from a suspension in time inside the bowels of the earth and from a mental and gestural attitude inspired by the rite.
The ritual has brought to life unlooked-for rhythms and timbres, found through improvisation. In the same way, sound fluxes and pre-musical forms are generated by the elements in their primitive state: water, rock, wood, metal and man.
That is why this musical project intends to avoid the use of connotative rhythms and forms which can evoke recognisable cultures or sound situations, in order to reach a new opportunity of exploration, research and experimentation.
Some of the instruments employed come from the primitive and poor tradition; others have been built by the musicians themselves on the performance occasion.
Water rythms (Ritmi d’acqua) has been realized with the contribution of:

Ritmi d’Acqua
Concerto d’improvvisazione ispirato ad antichi riti animici.Il progetto nasce da un momento sospeso nel tempo, dentro le viscere della terra. Nasce da un atteggiamento mentale e gestuale ispirato al rito.
La cerimonia ha dato vita a ritmi e timbri non cercati, frutto dell’improvvisazione. Flussi sonori e forme pre-musicali sono generati dagli elementi allo stato primitivo: acqua, roccia, legno, metallo, uomo.Nel tentativo di prescindere da tutto quanto può evocare culture o situazioni sonore riconoscibili, il progetto musicale approda ad una diversa possibilità di esplorazione, ricerca e sperimentazione.
Gli strumenti usati sono di tradizione primitiva e povera, altri sono stati costruiti dai musicisti in occasione della performance.Ritmi d’Acqua è stato realizzato:
